Workplace Safety Training: We are offering three-week safety training programs in collaboration with Titiklie Workplace Safety.
This program focuses on building practical safety awareness, developing familiarity with workplace safety systems, and providing recognized certifications that employers expect for entry-level workers.
Indigenous Wage Subsidy Initiative
Unlock Career Opportunities in the Clean Workforce: Our Indigenous Wage Subsidy Initiative supports the hiring of Indigenous job-seekers across Nova Scotia into meaningful and sustainable roles within the green workforce.
Green Education
Careers for 7 Generations: This workshop offers a unique blend between career exploration and traditional knowledge. Learners will explore how their lived experiences, skills and interests can be connected and applied to opportunities in the clean economy and the Mi’kmaw practice of Netukulimk.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following to be eligible:
Self-identify as First Nations, Inuit or Métis
Reside in Nova Scotia
Be age 15 and up

Unlocking opportunities in the clean economy for Indigenous youth and community members across Mi’kma’ki through accessible education and resources.
Connecting with the community through regular events and providing dedicated career support and recruitment services throughout the Indigenous Energy Project.
This project is made possible through the Native Council of Nova Scotia (NCNS), funded by Government of Canada’s Skills and Partnership Fund (SPF).
The agreement runs from January 29, 2024, to December 31, 2026, and will support Indigenous Peoples both off-reserve and within First Nation Communities in Nova Scotia.
